I don’t know about you but when I think of summer I think of delicious watermelon! Therefore my project for today is watermelon themed! I racked my brain, scoured the Internet for inspiration and decided to make a modified Bag in a Box turned in a Watermelon Beach Bag!

ABsolute HOW-TO:
Bag in a Box

Supplies: Cardstock or Designer Series Paper, Simply Scored Scoring Tool, Paper Snips, Bone Folder, Sticky Strip

Step 1: The bottom of the bag is created from a 4″ x 5.5″ piece of Old Olive scored 1″ around on all 4 sides and folded up to create a box.

Step 2: Take a 4″ x 12″ piece of Designer Series Paper or cardstock of your choice and wrap it around the box.

Step 3: To complete the bottom, adhere a piece of 1″ x 12″ cardstock around the base of the bag.

Step 4: Adhere some ribbon handles with brads and all complete. I added some Old Olive Candy Dots to the Candy Dot Brad Base for the perfect finishing touch!

So I needed something to go inside the bag! How cute are these little 3″ x 3″ cards?

I used the Work of Art stamp set to create the watermelon work of art (thanks to another designer for inspiration)! The watermelon seeds on the bag and the cards were created from the leaves on the branch from the Bird Builder Punch. Too stinkin’ cute!

Here you can see the bag is big enough to fit multiple cards inside making the perfect little gift for someone special! I made 6 but it could easily hold 6 more!
